Find your main rival

  • Rihanna

I have a friend, we have known each other for 10 years. She has always tried for my priorities. For example, when I wanted to be an engineer and changed my major she changed hers too. When I wanted to continue my education, she handed in her notice and tried as much as she could, to be better than me at something she could not care less. Again, when I started Pilates, she changed her mind about her favorite exercise. Or when I wanted to learn a second language, guess what? She did it too.

You should only compete with one person: yourself
You should only compete with one person: yourself

One day she told me that she is not satisfied at all. I told her because every battle you have fought for was not yours and you lost your energy in the competitions which were not your priorities.

When you compete with others, you judge yourself according to their values and criteria.

You should compete only with you and your unknown potentials. Because you may have heard that:

If you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.

Checking your daily performance is a useful tool for competing with yourself, as well as identifying your potential abilities. Thus, by identifying your strengths and weaknesses, you can compete with your main rival (yourself).

teemTIME has provided a very useful tool for you to track your daily activities and check your performance. Try it for free to be better than you were yesterday.
